I'm a British-Chilean multimedia journalist who covers social justice and the environment in the UK and abroad.
My work has appeared in The Guardian, The Independent, NPR, Wired, among others. I was recently in Chile reporting from the heart of the social uprising for Al Jazeera and The Telegraph.
In 2020 I was listed on Forbes 30 under 30 Europe, and I was shortlisted for an Amnesty Media Award for my reporting on Chile. In 2019 I won an MHP young journalist award for a story about catcalling for HuffPost.
I have co-directed and produced a short documentary, provided live broadcast analysis for BBC World Service, and spoken at the United Nations Development Programme's Social Good Summit in Istanbul. I recently gave a lecture on Chile's protest movement at the University of Groningen.
Before becoming freelance I worked at The Guardian as a reporter and commissioning editor on the global development network. I am a One Earth climate fellow, and former fellow with the International Journalists’ Programme in Berlin.
On the side I play music as Naomi in Blue. I also write about country music, inequality in the music industry, and the impact music has on communities.
