Hello!
I'm a British-Chilean multimedia journalist who covers social justice, culture and the environment in the UK and abroad.
My work has appeared in The Guardian, The Independent, Al Jazeera, The Telegraph, NPR, Wired, among others.
In 2020 I was listed on Forbes 30 under 30 Europe, and I was shortlisted for an Amnesty Media Award for my reporting on Chile's social uprising. In 2019 I won an MHP young journalist award for a story about catcalling for HuffPost.
I also work in documentaries, recently as a specialist researcher on a music feature doc. I've provided live broadcast analysis for BBC World Service, spoken at the United Nations Development Programme's Social Good Summit in Istanbul, and have given a lecture on Chile's protest movement at the University of Groningen.
Before becoming freelance I worked at The Guardian as a reporter and commissioning editor on the global development network. I am a former One Earth climate fellow, and former fellow with the International Journalists’ Programme in Berlin.
On the side I play music as Naomi in Blue. I also write about country music, inequality in the music industry, and the impact music has on communities.
